Description: Jon Hammer's debut exhibition ‘A Moment of Watching Something’ will take place at The Brick Lane Gallery, London E1, 12-7pm, 28th November- 8th December 2008. Now a self taught artist of technical virtuosity, he started his career on the Underground railway during London's graffiti 'Golden-Age’ between 1986-1988. Whilst continuing to paint innovative graffiti in the traditional style he has diversified into numerous fields, painting trompe l’oiel and classical murals and designing, constructing and lighting events from Acid House parties to A-list bashes. Jon’s work has mutated into a broad array of visionary, apocalyptic and kitsch themes, “mystic gems for the western snack palate and beyond”, which he defines as ‘Noskoolism’. His canvases will be on public view at this event for the first time. The private view is on the 27th November 7-10pm. Numerous original pieces of many sizes will be available for sale, also prints, including some customised one-offs as well as various curios and oddities.
